In this chapter, I will show you how to buy Bitcoin on eToro, step-by-step.
Making a Bitcoin purchase on eToro is the same for every kind of payment method, so in step three below, when you select your payment method, just choose the one you want. The pictures are just there as a guide so you know where to look for the dropdown.
Select the currency and total amount of that currency you plan to deposit into your eToro account.
Select your preferred payment method from the dropdown and then make sure all data looks good.
Note: If you do not see your preferred payment method in the screenshot above, don’t worry. Since I am in the US, I only see payments methods available to US account holders. Your options will probably appear different than mine, but the process is the same.
Select the “Submit” button at the bottom of the window.
Head on over to ‘Trade Markets’ or the ‘Discover’ page. Depending on your region, your user interface may look slightly different than mine.
If you can’t find it, you can search the BTC ticker in the search bar at the top of the screen.
At the top of the Bitcoin asset page, you will see a big green button that either says “Buy” or “Trade” (depending on your region). Click it.
Choose how much Bitcoin you want to buy then click the “Open Trade” button at the bottom.
And that’s it! You can see the transaction in your portfolio.
You now own Bitcoin and you purchased it through eToro!
Great job!
